We would like to all congratulate one of our employees, Patrick McCartney for his incredible achievement of qualifying for, running in, and finishing the 2007 Boston Marathon.

Not only did he finish, but he finished it while battling a "nor’easter", which provided cold temperatures, heavy rain, and wind gusts of up to 50-miles/hour on race day! Battling hypothermia, Pat still managed to push through to the finish line. From his journal:

At the end of the day, I am again humbled by how difficult a marathon can actually be... but I am encouraged by the fact that I was able to work through it and ultimately finish. In addition, it was cool to be part of the one and only Boston Marathon run in a nor’easter. Even though it took me more than an hour longer than it did in Houston, finishing the world’s most prestigious marathon never felt so good.

Congratulations to John MacLean and Tom Smith of Metecs for their participation and strong showing in the JSC Engineering Festival Pinewood Derby competition. Their efforts as members of the ER division team helped ER clinch the 1st place division award.

Congratulations guys. We appreciate the passion that you bring to projects like this and also to your work.
