METECS is an accomplished small business firm located next to the Johnson Space Center (JSC) in Houston, Texas specializing in high-fidelity simulation development and analysis. Founded in 2003, the company has grown by an order of magnitude over the past four years. The attraction and retention of top-quality staff are indicators of success in our business and management approaches.

METECS has assembled a staff with recognized technical and management experience in the Trick simulation environment, virtual reality (VR) graphics software, graphics modeling, avionics integration, math models, robotics, systems engineering, and simulation analysis. This breadth of experience spans the Apollo, Space Shuttle, International Space Station (ISS), and Exploration programs.

Through efficient and innovative approaches to simulation math model development, simulation analysis, graphics integration, customer support, and task management, METECS has been able to demonstrate its excellence in technical leadership. Members of our staff have contributed to the inception, vision, and development of many of the tools and capabilities currently used by the Automation, Robotics and Simulation Division (AR&SD) at Johnson Space Center in Houston, TX.

METECS personnel have received special recognition indicating their outstanding level of commitment to high performance service. Acknowledgements include NASA's Exceptional Service Medal, JSC Certificate of Commendation, Presidential Medal of Freedom, NASA Space Act award, Silver Snoopy awards, AR&SD Superior Assistance awards, and numerous AR&SD Elite Team awards.

Recent METECS projects include:

• Development, integration, verification, and analysis of Trick-based Shuttle Remote Manipulator System (SRMS), Space Station Remote Manipulator System (SSRMS), and Special Purpose Dexterous Manipulator (SPDM) simulations within AR&SD in order to address engineering and training requirements.
• Development and maintenance of graphics capabilities for robotics simulation scene visualization requirements supporting the Space Shuttle, ISS, and Constellation programs.
• Analysis of flexible dynamics effects on Extra Vehicular Activity (EVA) repair scenarios for NASA's Space Shuttle program return-to-flight.
