WELCOME ABOARD CHAD!

METECS would like to welcome our newest team member, Chad Zalkin.  Chad received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and Computer science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, class of 2005.  Chad also holds a Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of Texas at San Antonio, class of 2011.  Mr. Zalkin has over six years of experience in the fields of simulation, computer graphics, video games, and virtual training systems.  For the last year, Chad was with n-Space, inc. where he was instrumental developing commercial video game titles for the Xbox 360 and Playstation Vita. His contributions also extended the proprietary rendering engine and improved n-Space’s internal technologies.  Prior to his time at n-Space, Chad was with Southwest Research Institute (SwRI).  At SwRI, Chad was responsible for maintaining and extending a proprietary graphics engine, as well as performing engineering tasks for a variety of training simulators.  Chad served as a developer for training simulators for spray paint training, KC-135 midair refueling, and construction equipment training simulators.  While attaining his graduate degree at the University of Texas, San Antonio, Chad contributed design and implementation to ATLAS, a high performance numerical methods package used in a variety of industries and scientific applications.  Chad’s contributions served to improve the performance of critical code on the newest generation of computer processors.  Welcome aboard Chad!
